Sure, they lost season seven of The X Factor. But they're the most successful band born from a reality show ever, so it's safe to say One Direction has won.
In case you missed it the first time around (or you just want to relive the magic), check out their best moments on the hit series.
"Kids in America"
There's something hilariously ironic about watching a bunch of British boys jamming to a song called "Kids in America" (even though it was originally sung by English pop star Kim Wilde).
"My Life Would Suck Without You"
There's no way around it: Our lives would totally suck without One Direction, and this cover of Kelly Clarkson's hit serves as a major reminder of that.
"Total Eclipse of the Heart"
You love Twilight, and you love One Direction, so you're going to be head over heels for this killer rendition of Bonnie Tyler's circa-'80s classic while dressed like vampires. Leave it to Zayn to look good even when blood is pouring from his eyeball. Equally scary? Louis's scarf.
"Only Girl in the World"
The boys basically had to rewrite this Rihanna jam to make it from a dude's POV, and the result is impressive. When Liam looks into the camera and declares that he wants to make you feel like you're the only girl in the world, you'll seriously feel it.
"All You Need is Love"
One Direction has drawn their fair share of Beatles comparisons, and it's hard not to deny it—both British man-bands have record-breaking chart-toppers that make girls around the world swoon. It seems especially fitting that one of their best-ever X Factor performances was a hit from the Fab Four.
